Frequently Asked Questions
A kerbside delivery means your order will be delivered as close to your property as it is safe and practical to do so. Drivers are not required to move pallets beyond the kerb or into your property. Where possible, they may help position your order, but this is always at the driver's discretion.
Bulk bags are delivered on a wooden pallet using a pallet network. The driver unloads the pallet using a tail lift and pallet truck before moving it to the nearest suitable hard surface.
Most deliveries are made using an 18-tonne or 26-tonne rigid lorry, which is larger than a standard refuse collection vehicle. Please ensure your road has suitable access and turning space.
Your property should have:
- Access for a large delivery vehicle
- Adequate turning space
- A flat, hard standing area for unloading
- No steep inclines or loose surfaces between the lorry and the delivery point

Yes. If your property has limited access, contact us before placing your order. In many cases we can arrange a smaller delivery vehicle, depending on the size and weight of your order.
A pallet truck requires a flat, solid surface such as concrete, tarmac or paving. Unfortunately, deliveries cannot be moved across:
- Grass
- Gravel
- Loose stone
- Steep slopes
- Uneven ground
No. Deliveries are completed using a tail lift and pallet truck only. We do not provide crane or HIAB unloading.
No. The pallet is yours to dispose of, recycle or reuse after delivery.
If the driver cannot safely leave your order, a redelivery may be required. Additional delivery charges may apply if the failed delivery was due to nobody being available or unsuitable access.
<p>If the delivery cannot be completed because of access restrictions, unsuitable ground conditions or incorrect delivery information, <strong>additional delivery charges may apply.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We heavily subsidise standard delivery costs.</strong> If a delivery fails because of factors outside our control-such as inaccessible roads, unsuitable unloading areas, incorrect address details or customer cancellation-the full carrier cost may be charged.</p>
<p>Standard deliveries are normally made Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.</p>
<p>Delivery companies may occasionally operate outside standard hours. You have the right to refuse deliveries attempted before <strong>6:00am or after 9:00pm.</strong></p>
<p>Yes. Saturday delivery is available at checkout for an additional charge. Orders placed after 2:30pm on Friday are not eligible for Saturday delivery.</p>
<p>Drivers will always try to help where it is safe and practical. However, the final placement of your order depends on access, safety and the driver's professional judgement.</p>
<p>It's recommended. If you won't be available, please contact us beforehand to discuss safe delivery arrangements. This can help avoid failed deliveries and additional charges.</p>
<p><strong>Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives</strong>. If there is any visible damage or anything appears to be missing, notify us immediately with photographs so we can investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.</p>
